The Mighty St. Lawrence

Sometimes you have to cross water to get to where you need to go.  We got C-blocked, but it was worth the recon.

Digging the down ramp. I almost fell in and my shovel started floating downstream, a couple quick moves helped me stay dry, and retrieve my trusty shovel.

Dave B taking a break from digging and checking out a mirage crossing downstream.

no go.

Mt Cocknballs

The last couple days have been really cold and windy.  We had aspirations for some bigger targets but decided to stay out of the wind and shred the subalpine.  We decided to hit Mt Cocknballs.
The shade was cold, so we didn't stop much.  There are lots of cool pillows to scope on the way up.
 A few stacks in there.
Delaney enjoying the sun, and trying to decide if the surrounding peaks are wind-fucked.
Skinning by the haggard tree, with the PV in the background
More views, i have never toured up here on a blue day, so it was nice to look around
Had one of the best runs of my life on this face a bunch of years ago. I also destroyed my board.

not the top, but where we decided to drop in

Delaney dropping in.  The only action shot, as it was fucking cold, and we are wimps.

The deep gets deeper

People throw words around like "epic" and "all time" alot.  This was one of those days were those terms actually applied. Deep blower snow, that somehow stuck to everything.

It took a bit sled ninja-ing to get in. Dave B descending.
Snow was deep and cold on the ridge. It was a effort to gain forward momentum

I raced up the ridge to shred this line in the light, the snow was neck deep so it took me a while.
