Rave Solenoid ( a tribute to a legend)

Bluebird turned to malk-bird, So we hit up, the world famous Rave Solenoid chute.  Freeskier, D.Ballsac drops in.
Dropping into the world famous Rave Solenoid Chute.  Just as the guidebook had predicted.  Super Sick!
The Milkbird effed off for a bit.  Lines started to look good again.
Starting to fill in, but definatly still a few bones out there.
Milkbird came back, but it was good enough to shred.  I got to shred the D. Ballsac superspine.  It was a good time.  I decided to get gnarly on the pitch below the spines , and found myself clinging to the slope as I cleaned out a slope to down to rock.  It looked good but was only a foot deep!
I managed to shimmy my way out.
I enjoy some more powder type snow.

Jan.7/2011

It was a stormy day in the mountains, but we managed to find some fun trees to ride.
  Dave B scopes.
I missed the shot, but you get the idea.

Darryl Treadway, extreme no-boarder, hucks his human meat.  There was a audible "splat" when he hit the ground.  All in a days work, for this extreme no-board athlete.
Dave Treadway tries it on skis.  Less of a "splat" sound.
Dave Treadway dropping in for another.

old gold

I was cleaning out my computer a bit, and found this photo of me, from 2005. It was a lean winter, so we spent a lot of time looking for new terrain and good snow.  Dave Basterrechea snapped this photo, and set it up perfectly with a rock wall, picture frame.

Mt Iceroadtrucker

Garry P manually clearing the road, after some recent feller/buncher logging.  Snowpack is dirt thin in the valley.. Some firewood potential out there.
It took a while to get the proper snowline.  Both Garry and I were feeling the Post-Holiday haggard.
Some sweet views... Double edged sword of getting cell coverage in the backcountry..We had been recieving calls, that a couple avalanche incidents had gone down in the local area.
Heli-Skiers were getting after it on the glaciers in the background..
Garry keeps er honest.
Garry shreds the creamy pow.. We kept it mellow, and battled the alder at low elevations..It made me appreciate the snowpack we had last year at low elevations,  it looked like this last year.

Chris Ankeny pow-slaying 2011

Local Spine murderer, Chris Ankeny, put together a 2011 season edit. I was stoked to be on a bunch of those missions.
